why did they fire skorza? he gained success with wisla and it was not his fault that the team did not score during last matches. of course i will support the white star but i think that kasperczak is not the right choice, they should try a younger coach. JAZDA, JAZDA!

Skorza's Wisla lost all important matches in this season: Levadia, Lech, Legia, Cracovia.

I guess there was a number of factors that led to Skorza's firing.
First of all, Wisla did not score any goals. Not having scored in three matches in a row is a big problem. I know that not always the coach is the one who is responsible for this, but to speak the truth, Wisla did actually play terribly terribly bad football - lack of goals was merely a reflection of how bad the football was. No style at all, just chaotic passes that didn't lead to any clear-cut chances. Secondly - the team hasn't been prepared properly - the players were - and still are! - slow, apathetic, lethargic with no reflex whatsoever. In fact, this is the second time when Skorza failed to prepare the team for the season (the same thing happened at the very beginning of the season, when Wisla failed to win against Levadia Tallin). Thirdly - lack of succes in European cups and important matches in the league. Levadia, Lech, Legia, Cracovia - all of these important matches have been lost by Wisla. That last one, against Cracovia, hurts even more, since it has been the first time in last 57(!) years when Wisla lost against Cracovia when playing at home. What is more, Skorza has been often accused of being too soft for the players. An incident when Piotr Brozek shouted something back to Skorza during a match indicates that these accusations might have been right. This team needs a coach that cannot be screwed with, not a friend ![]() And last but not least, Skorza's staff (namely Paolo Terrziotti) has been at least partially responsible for lengthy treatment of certain players of ours. On the other hand, there are also arguments that support Skorza. He has taken the team two years ago when we have finished on the 8th place. After that he managed to grab to championships, which was amazing - especially the first one, when we finished the league 14 points ahead of Legia. Second thing - it is always extremely risky to fire the coach in the middle of the season. Firing the coach in the mid-season was exactly one of the reasons of why we have finished 8th three seasons ago. In addition, you have to admit that since Skorza's arrival in Wisla, our squad has been systematically weakened - many good players left, not too many good players came. When it comes to Kasperczak - hopefully, with his experience he will manage to set up the squad right ![]()

Yes, a new coach is Henryk Kasperczak but a lot of fans still are followers of Skorża. According to me let's wait and then we will see, that choosing of Kasperczak was a good or not selection...
