Stjepan Poljak's contract was terminated before this season started. He's a decent player with good intentions and had a couple of good moments here at Eskisehirspor but he couldn't really adapt to the league, he's physically very weak and in the Superlig you need to have a little more balls even if you're skinny but Poljak stayed away from all contact and with any ltitle contact he would lose the ball. I liked his professionalism and he never started any trouble. Just not made for this league, I don't know where he is now but I wish him luck.

Poljak controls the ball very well and his passing ability is good also but this is all when he doesn't have pressure. He has good shooting ability also but he always hesitates and tries to get that extra step into the penalty area before he takes a shot. I think with the right system he can be very useful. I see Poljak as more of a playmaker type but with us in a 4-4-2 he played on the left wing and you can see he was not brought up in that position. If he had stayed at Centermid he would have been more sucsessful here but we don't play that supporting striker system. The best example of this is how Alex is with Fenerbahce. It could be true that he hasn't been paid for months because the contract when terminated was from our end only and not with the permission of Poljak so as far as he's concerned he was still under contract, similar with Krunoslav Lovrek who we brought in from Croatia also. I wonder how much is owed to these guys.
