Polish Wisla Krakow will replace CSKA Moscow in the Euroleague season. The Polish team was expected to take part in EuroCup but the sudden withdrawal of the Russian powerhouse opened the road to the top European tournament for the team. Besiktas and Nadezhda Orenburg were also among the possible choices to replace CSKA. Wisla will play in Group B alongside Lille, Gopsic, Halcon Avenida, MiZo Pecs and Schio. Wisla will face Halcon Avenida in Spain on the 28th of October. Meanwhile Odra Brzeg will take Wisla spot in the EuroCup competition. The team received the proposal from the Polish Basketball Federation and accepted it. The official announcement for both teams is expected to arrive soon.
